SeedCily, a consortium of Sicilian agri-food producers and processors, was born from a rib of “Simenza Cumpagnia siciliana sementi contadine”, which places the economic enhancement of Sicilian plant and animal biodiversity at the centre of its mission, with the objective of promoting and marketing quality organic products, characterized by a strong Sicilian imprint. The Consortium’s activities will power the development of production chains, offering opportunities for diversification of agricultural activities and income, as well as satisfying consumer demand for quality organic products, with a local / regional identity. Our project will be developed through the testing of marketing channels with enhanced producerconsumer connections to facilitate the distribution of the products first in Sicily and, subsequently, nationally and internationally.
